Hello everyone,
From the nationwide devastation of the Christchurch attacks, to the specific devastation of an individual client’s personal health battles, the business of Partners Life is to be intimately involved in helping individuals, families, businesses and communities to recover from unexpected and unwanted life interruptions. It is our job to walk alongside New Zealanders at the worst times of their lives and we are so proud to do so.

 

Our clients, our business partners, and our staff are as diverse a group of people, in terms of demographics, backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, preferences, experiences, physical and mental capabilities, as the entire world is – which is exactly how we want it. We learn something new every day because of the diverse insights we gain from our ‘community’ of people. And we take that learning to do better things for our clients. We will never understand how anyone can have hate for someone else just because they are not exactly like them – really, with the billions of people on the planet, how can one person believe they are the ‘template’ that all others should be judged against? 

It has been a busy time at Partners Life and we’re excited to share some exciting news with you. I’m sure you have seen our new ad campaign by now and in this edition, we’ll take you through the process of creating the campaign. Our business has also been certified with the Rainbow Tick indicating the work done to ensure we are a safe, diverse and inclusive organisation and we could not be prouder. I’m also thrilled to share some of the great achievements by some Partners Life stars, including one of our own going for Paralympic gold and the great work being done by our Claims team. We have also included some recent enhancements made to our policies which automatically apply to our policyholders through our Guaranteed Upgrade of Future Benefits feature.

We are extremely proud of our first public-facing campaign - Get Life Right, which officially launched on the 3rd of March 2019. Michael Scott knows the value of good timing. As a train driver for KiwiRail he was keenly aware of the importance of things happening at the right time. Towards the end of 2014 Michael and his wife Joanna met with their financial adviser and took out Partners Life cover. The importance of that decision hit home just a few short months later in 2015 when Michael noticed a slight tremor in his left hand.

On the 17th of December 2018, Partners Life was awarded the Rainbow Tick certification. The Rainbow Tick is a confidence mark given to organisations that have achieved a high level of diversity and inclusivity, specifically concerning their LGBTQI staff.
