In this impactful 75 minute seminar, Hannah will discuss her research and findings with the following areas being focal points.

Why we are failing our kids when it comes to money.

Why we need to teach our kids the value of money.

What talking to your children 'honestly' about money means.

Are you teaching your kids bad money habits?

Are you stunting your child's financial growth?

Should your child have a part time job?

Will your children be able to buy a house when they leave home?

Should your child go to university and should they be working while studying?

Should they get a student loan or should you try and pay for this yourselves?

How can you cultivate the entrepreneur spirit?

Most importantly Hannah will share with you her strategies to help you create financially independent kids to increase the odds of their financial success.

About Fathers' Breakfasts

Fathers' Breakfasts are held annually in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Six top speakers talk from their heart and share personal stories from their journey as a father – all to provide inspiration to help you with your role as a dad. Plus enjoy a fully cooked breakfast at the same time!

In previous years, speakers such as Sir Stephen Tindall, Sir Ralph Norris, Sir Ray Avery, Sean Fitzpatrick, Wayne 'Buck' Shelford, Graham Henry, Robbie Deans, Nick Farr-Jones, Neil Finn and John Campbell have spoken at Fathers' Breakfasts. All of them are quick to admit their failings, but they are also keen to pass on what they've found that works.

Fathers can make a huge, positive difference. Fathers want to be active and involved in their kids' lives – this event will give you some simple tips and inspiration to take home and apply. The practical nature of the speakers' advice, combined with the atmosphere generated by hundreds of fathers in a room, makes it a powerful event. If you wish to book your space whilst seats last then please click below.

The results are in: The High Five-O Challenge has been completed and smashed!

Putting our best feet forward & supporting NZ Mental Health Foundation

The High Five-O Challenge was one man's ambition to test his own boundaries to conquer 50 marathons and 50 peaks in 50 days, back to back with no rest days. In its scale and ambition the Partners Life High Five-0 Challenge was both enormous and unprecedented – nothing quite like it has ever been attempted anywhere in the world.

It has been a true odyssey, played out over the length and breadth of one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. It has been a celebration of many things, not least New Zealand's wild places, the pastimes of peak bagging & trail running, camaraderie between adventurous people and the generosity of the human spirit. But more than anything this Challenge exists to bring the issues surrounding mental health out of the shadows and into the limelight. Their most important goal of all was to raise at least $250,000 for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

The journey had a number of ups-and-downs however with the strong support network that Mal was surrounded by every day made getting through the difficult times much easier and celebrating the good times even sweeter. Having such tremendous support behind you is what the Mental Health Foundation is all about, supporting people during difficult periods in life.

Beyond the fundraising, Mal wanted to encourage others to embrace the Five Ways to Wellbeing, set goals, enjoy the outdoors and talk about mental health.

Winning Ways of Wellbeing.jpg

"Not only did we get those messages out there, but I know that without a shadow of a doubt that we effected lives and saved lives," Mal says.

Ehara taku toa, he takitahi, he toa takitini

My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, as it was not individual success but success of a collective

Following the epic success of the Partner's Life High Five-0 Challenge for Mental Health, Mal proudly handed over a cheque worth $507,416 to MHF Board Chair Jeremy Gardiner and Chief Executive Judi Clements at a special event in May 2015.

Mal isn't afraid to push both mind and body in order to raise awareness on a subject very close to his heart. This drive and determination is why our values come together so well, helping support the Mental Health Foundation gives New Zealanders a chance to live 'Life Better Together'.
